The VIVO: Next Fellowship is designed to inspire the next generation of musicians through hands-on professional experience and close mentorship within a community-centered chamber music festival.

Program Highlights
  • Fellows gain real-world entrepreneurial experience tailored to individual interests, learning directly from VIVO Directors about planning and producing a music festival.
  • Fellows receive lessons and coachings from VIVO Artists throughout festival week.
  • Instrumental Fellows rehearse and perform alongside VIVO Artists, while Composition Fellows have an original work performed at a VIVO core concert.
  • Fellows collaborate with the VIVO team to design and present outreach performances in Central Ohio schools and community organizations.

About VIVO

VIVO Music Festival is an annual Columbus-based classical music festival dedicated to building community through world-class chamber music. Now entering its 12th season, VIVO brings together nationally recognized young professional musicians each fall to present forward-thinking concerts, educational programs, and community-centered outreach initiatives throughout Central Ohio.

VIVO is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.

Eligibility Requirements
  • Open to musicians who demonstrate exceptional musicianship, and an interest in chamber music and musical entrepreneurship
  • Participants must be current students or recent graduates of collegiate-level music programs. The Composition Fellow must be studying or working in Ohio. Candidates must be eligible for employment in the United States.
  • Participants should be actively pursuing a career in music and should share in VIVO's mission to build community through world-class chamber music

VIVO Music Festival is an annual chamber music festival based in Columbus, Ohio. We present concerts and events in partnership with local institutions and businesses, including museums, breweries, assisted living centers, veteran affairs hospitals, and other community spaces.
